Ciao, Milano!

You never cease to amaze me… The narrow streets lined with the bold displays of world’s most famous designers, impeccable elegance and style of the locals, the melodious Italian and delicious food make Milan not only one of the world’s most famous fashion capitals but also a place that inspires you and makes you become open to experience a culture from various angles.

As I’ve previously attended Fashion Week and was totally immersed into the experience, even though overwhelming made me want to come back. On this occasion, I decided to approach things differently and rather than run from one show to another and not have a second to breath I decided to combine Fashion Week and wandering around Milan. And as relaxing and being away from the busyness of the city centre played a major part on this trip, I chose Hilton Garden Inn Milan North* as my base. About 15 min on the Metro to the Duomo (line M1), the location of the hotel was ideal as it’s in a quiet neighbourhood, with some rather nice local bakeries nearby.

Being a modern hotel, Hilton Garden Inn Milan North also made it a good place for shooting various outfits. Apart from resting in one of the hotel’s comfortable rooms, I’m happy that I also managed to fit in a workout session in the hotel’s gym, located on the 6th floor. What better way of running  on the treadmill or working out on the cross-trainer than with a view of the city!

Only a few stops away from the Hilton Garden Inn Milan North hotel, nearby Loreto metro station, you will find various restaurants and bars that are worth giving a try 🙂 The Radio Rooftop Bar is too a great place to be, with generous cocktails and free appetisers (yep, happy hour at its best!) & a gorgeous view of the sun setting over Milan.
